THE Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, PETAN, in partnership with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board NCDMB, will lead discussions on African Content at the sixth Sub Saharan African International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, SAIPEC.
The event comes up in Lagos from the 22nd to the 24th of February 2022.
According to the statement by the organizers, while SAIPEC 2022 will have a full week of activity, starting with the Regulator Roundtable on the 21st, three days of conference sessions and the exhibition, concluding with the PETAN Golf tournament, the African Content Series on the second day of the event, spearheaded by PETAN and the NCDMB – a full day of collaborative discussions.
“The SAIPEC African Content Series provides the latest updates on local content policies from African oil-producing countries and opportunities in the successful implementation of local content across a series of discussions from heads of NOCs, IOCs and Independent and Indigenous oil and gas companies.
“From the birth of SAIPEC seven years ago (originally WAIPEC) serving primarily West Africa, the event has grown year on year, evolving in line with the industry and expanding to cover the whole of Sub Saharan Africa.
“At its core of SAIPEC is the desire to foster partnerships and find solutions for Africa’s growing energy industry and with the backing of PETAN, and some of the best leaders in the industry making up its steering committee, SAIPEC 2022 will return bigger and better than ever,” the statement said.
