Sports Ministry convenes meeting to review Team Nigeria’s performance at Paris Games

THE Federal Ministry of Sports Development on Friday in Abuja said it has convened the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Post-Games Audit and Review meeting for Tuesday.

Mrs Kehinde Ajayi, the Ministry’s Director of Information and Press Relations, listed in a statement those invited to the meeting.

“These include the Presidents and Secretaries-General of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN).

“Others are the Presidents, Secretaries-General, Technical Directors and Head Coaches of all National Sports Federations of the 12 sports Nigeria took part in at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the four sports the country participated in at the Paris Paralympics.

“Also invited are members of the Ministerial Podium Performance Committee, and Heads of Technical Departments of the Ministry,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

NAN reports that the meeting is ostensibly the commencement of the review of Team Nigeria’s performance at the two Games as promised by the Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh.(NAN)
