Nigeria to host African Senior Beach Volleyball Nations Cup

THE Assistant Secretary of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Ademola Oyekedun, has said Nigeria would host African Senior Beach Volleyball Nations Cup from April 21 to April 27 at Jabi Lake, Abuja.

Oyekedun told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the federation was set to give participants a befitting environment for the competition.

He said that the president of the federation, Musa Nimrod, had made everything possible to make the competition interesting for spectators. “The president and the board members have done a great job to make the environment conducive for all participants.

“I believe that at the end of the competition players will say good things about the tournament. As the host country, I’m sure that our players will make us proud at the end of the competition,” he said.

NAN reports that more than 20 countries will participate in the tournament in Abuja. They are Republic of Benin, Ghana, Egypt, Rwanda, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Cameroon, Angola, Sierra Leone, Burundi, South Africa, Togo and Burkina Faso among others. (NAN)
