SSS arrests PDP Campaign Spokesperson

The State Secret Service has arrested Ben Bako, spokesperson of the People Democratic Party and whisked him away to Abuja

 

BEN Bako, spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign in Kaduna State, has been arrested by security operatives Saturday night.

The reason for the arrest is not yet clear as men believed to be State Security Service, SSS, took him to Abuja.

The arrest has been confirmed by Yakubu Lere, deputy director of publicity of the party, who said Bako was taken by the SSS to Abuja.

The arrest is coming barely five days to the presidential election on Saturday, February 16.

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and other chieftains last week raised alarm about the plan by the federal government to clampdown on members of the opposition party.
