THE Presidency on Tuesday said the Federal Government was still detaining a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, because there are many cases against him.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said this while addressing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He was joined by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina; and the SSA on Media and Publicity to the Acting President, Laolu Akande.

Shehu said while Dasuki while Dasuki secured court bails in some of the cases, there were many other cases against him. On the continued detention of a religious leader, El-Zakzaky, the Presidential spokesman said the Islamic cleric was in protective custody. – Punch
