The defendants, who were arraigned before Magistrate S.K. Matepo, however, denied committing the offences.

Matepo said that all the sureties should be gainfully employed and show evidence of two years’ tax payment to Lagos State Government.

The prosecutor, ASP Clifford Ogu, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Dec. 8, at an Ecobank branch in Ipaja, Lagos.

He said that the defendants conspired to forge the signature of Mr Alao Kazewem with the intent to steal two million naira from him.

Ogu said that the alleged offences violated Sections 365, 406 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
