Students of AE-FUNAI mourn 3 colleagues killed in road crash

THE students of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Abakaliki, in Ebonyi State, are observing the two-day mourning of three students of the university, who died in a road crash on Monday, February 8, 2021.

During the mourning period, which started on Thursday, the students are expected to wear black clothes in school.

Some of the students of the university said that the accident occurred along the Afikpo-Okigwe expressway when the students were returning back to the school.

According to the students, the accident claimed the lives of other passengers, including the mother of one of the students.

However, unconfirmed reports said that a 300 level mass communication student, a 400 level accountancy student and a newly admitted student were among the victims in the bus.
