Sudan reaffirms commitment to deepening diplomatic relations with Nigeria

THE President of Sudan, Lt.-Gen. Abel-Fattah Abdel-Rahman has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to deepen its bilateral relations with Nigeria.
Abdel-Rahman, who is the Chairman of the Traditional Sovereignty Council of Sudan, said this on Friday in Abuja in his congratulatory message to Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the latter’s victory at the February 2023 presidential election.
He commended Sudan-Nigeria diplomatic relations to have been mutual and assured to work closely with the incoming government, to strengthen ties between the two countries.
“It is my pleasure and great honour to convey my sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency, for being elected as the president of Nigeria.
“May I pray to the Almighty to guide you in your noble mission toward further development and prosperity of your sisterly country.
“I will also like to express my appreciation for the strong ties and distinguished relations between our two countries.
“I reiterate my sincere commitment to enhancement and development of our relationship to achieving the mutual interest and aspirations of the peoples of our two countries.” (NAN)
