Sule Lamido University Wins 2019 West African Debate

Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa, has won the 2019 edition of the West African University championship debate held in Ghana.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Lawan Taura, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Thursday.

Taura said that three African countries participated in the debate held between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11, – Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic.

He explained that Sule Lamido reached the final round after scaling through in the semi-final.

The vice chancellor said that the University had collected trophy for its victory after the event.

Taura congratulated the participants for winning the competition, which put the university on the global map of reputable Universities in the world.

He noted that the success recorded by the University is not for the community alone but for Jigawa and Nigeria in general, (NAN)
