SUPER Eagles coach  to the AFCON 2023, Jose Peseiro, has stated he would take his time to have a desired rest before he would make any statement on the several jobs he has been linked with.

The Portuguese gaffer whose deal ended with Nigeria after the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire has been one of the most sought-after coaches in the continent with  reported interest already from  the  Algerian Football Federation to replace sacked Djamel Belmadi.

The Algeria Football Federation ended their association with  Belmadi who led them to AFCON glory in 2019 but failed to go beyond the first round of the competition for the second consecutive time.

It was reported that Peseiro was offered $100,000 last week but yet to give a firm pronouncement.

“I received a lot of offers after the African Cup final,” Peseiro  reportedly said.“I received an offer from the FAF but I will first rest and my agent will take care of it.”

Another source informed our correspondent that despite the juicy offer from the Algerian FF, Peseiro’s  priority is to continue with the Super Eagles and that suggestions that he was offered N200m when converted to coach Algeria are wide of the mark no matter the exchange rate used.

The Algerian FA have put a ceiling of $100,000 monthly as salary for new coach.
