Zurich police said that the man suspected of pushing an eight-year-old boy and his mother in front of a train in Frankfurt had been in psychiatric care earlier this year.
According to the police, document relating to his treatment and diagnosis was found when they searched his home, Swiss authorities said at a news conference on Tuesday.
Swiss police also confirmed they had issued an arrest warrant for the man last week, after he allegedly threatened his neighbour and her children, before locking them in their flat. (NAN)
