Judiciary
AN Ikeja High Court on Monday reserved until Nov. 8 to hear the plea bargain of three suspected robbers, Abolaji Kehinde, Tunde Jamiu and Uche John, accused of conspiracy and armed robbery.
The Defence Counsel, Mrs Uche Onoha, told the court that the first defendant died while in custody.
She, thereafter, told the court that the defendants had on Oct. 5, applied for a plea bargain.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that plea bargain is an agreement in a criminal case between the prosecutor and the accused.
The State Prosecution, Mr Ola Azeez, told the court that he had no objection .
Hence, Justice Oyindamola Ogala adjourned the matter until Nov. 8 for a plea bargain.
Ogala, however, advised the prosecution to tidy up the processes before the commencement of trial. (NAN)
