SWAN mourns Ekiti varsity sports director

THE Sports Writers Association of Nigeria,(SWAN) Ekiti Chapter, has commiserated the Ekiti University (EKSU) over the death of its Assistant Director, Sports Unit, Mr Adeniyi Oliver.

A condolence message jointly signed by Alh. Qu’ozeem Oladapo and Mr Bisi Ogunleye, Chairman and Secretary respectively, on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, described the death as saddening, unfortunate and a big loss to Ekiti sports.

According to the statement, the late coach contributed immensely to the development of sports at EKSU and the state.

The statement added that Oliver died on Tuesday night, June 9.

“We received with shock and disbelief, news of the death of EKSU Assistant Director of Sports Unit.

“The body of sports writers commiserate with the sports unit and the entire university community over the unfortunate incident.

“SWAN prays God grant the family, friends, colleagues and Ekiti sports community the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement said.
