Teenage sales assistant charged with stealing N52, 000 Forever Living supplement

A sales assistant, Christian Samaila, who allegedly stole a pack of Forever Living food supplement
valued at N52,500, was on Wednesday brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Samaila, 18, appeared on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

But Police Prosecutor Maria Dauda told the court that the accused committed the offences on April 9 at 8.00 a.m. at Eze Motor Park, Iddo,
Ebute Meta.

She said the accused, a sales boy working for Sunday Okewedoe, the complainant, had stolen a pack of the Forever Living food supplement
valued at N52,500.

The offences violates Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 287 provides seven years imprisonment for clerks stealing from their employers, while
Section 411 prescribes two years for conspiracy.

The Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Ajibade granted the accused a bail of N50,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

Further hearing in the case has been fixed for May 10.
