SeatPick can reveal that Newcastle United fans are the most foul-mouthed, with a score of 9.52 out of 10. Newcastle fans use an average of 43 swear words per 100 comments, and 33.63% of comments are negative. Although Newcastle are on track to finish third in this year’s campaign, fans were desperate for more, and their anger towards other teams has been made evident on social media.

In second place is West Ham United, with a swearing fan score of 8.57 out of 10. Although West Ham have a slightly lower average of swear words per 100 comments than first place (38), they do however have a similar percentage of negative comments per post (32.83%). West Ham hasn’t finished in the top half of the Premier League table, they have however reached the final of the Europa Conference League against Fiorentina, scheduled for the 7th June 2023. Unsurprisingly, West Ham United fans also have the highest number of arrests in the 21/22 season (95 arrests), 64% of these arrests being home games.

Nottingham Forest has the third sweariest fans with a score of 8.33 out of 10. Nottingham Forest has just about survived relegation this year, which may be why fans have been so disappointed this year (with 32.16% of their comments and posts being negative)

Everton has the fourth-highest foul-mouthed fans, scoring 7.85/10 (average of 36 swear words per 100 comments/ posts). Everton has also had a tough campaign this year and could potentially get relegated from the Premier League depending on the result of their last game.

In fifth place is Manchester United with a swearing fan score of 6.90/10 (2.62 lower than Newcastle United). Man United fans have been very prominent on social media this year, with a lot of abusive comments regarding Ronaldo’s departure in November 2022.
