REAL Madrid could be interested in re-signing Manchester United’s former France defender Raphael Varane, 30, after Austria defender David Alaba, 31, suffered a serious injury. (Cadena Cope – in Spanish)

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants to keep Varane, who joined the Red Devils from Real in 2021, and Brazil midfielder Casemiro, 31, in the January transfer window. (ESPN)

Manchester United are interested in Real Sociedad’s Japan winger Takefusa Kubo, 22, as a potential replacement for Brazil winger Antony, 23. Kubo has scored six and provided a further three assists in La Liga this season. (Sun)

German sides Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart are exploring a deal to sign Manchester United and England winger Jadon Sancho, 23. (90 Min)

BrentfordBrighton and Nottingham Forest are interested in Hoffenheim’s 21-year-old Germany Under-21 forward Maximilian Beier. Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are also watching developments. 

Chelsea are not interested in signing Arsenal’s England keeper Aaron Ramsdale, 25, in January. Ramsdale has been linked with a move away after making just five Premier League starts this season. 

Ramsdale will not be allowed to leave Arsenal in January, despite his lack of playing time. 

Everton have placed a record £100m price tag on England Under-21 defender Jarrad Branthwaite, 21, amid interest from Manchester United and Tottenham. (i newspaper)

Fluminense’s Brazil midfielder Andre, 22, has reiterated his desire to play in the Premier League amid interest from Fulham. (Standard)

Tottenham have a long standing interest in English defender Tosin Adarabioyo and could make a move for him in January, but Fulham hope the 26-year-old extends his contract with them beyond next summer. (Standard)

Tottenham have opened talks to sign 23-year-old Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo in January, with Manchester United also linked with the France international. (Talksport) 

Steve Cooper, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, is a contender to succeed Roy Hodgson when the 76-year-old leaves Crystal Palace. (Standard)

Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing 26-year-old Inter Milan and Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella. (Fichajes – in Spanish)

Liverpool are yet to find a replacement for sporting director Jorg Schmadtke, with the German set to leave the club at the end of the season having only joined in May. (Express)
