Tinubu mourns Rep. Olaide Akinremi

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu extends his condolences to the family of the late Hon. Olaide Akinremi, the lawmaker representing Ibadan-North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In a statement by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the President also commiserated with members of the National Assembly, friends, and associates of the deceased over the loss.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and strength to his family at this difficult time,” said the statement.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the Akinremi, who died after a brief illness, was a two-term lawmaker and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Until his death, he was the Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions.
