Tinubu's inauguration and America's pharisaical attire
Opinion

INFORMATION is rife and trending that the government of America will be sending delegates to attend Tinubu’s inauguration. Characteristically, they would bedeck themselves with their supposed designers’ suits. But all I can see is a pharisaical garb of hypocrisy
Sometimes I wonder why these colonial powers still delude themselves to think that because they deceived our forefathers to take them as slaves and laborers, we their children can as well be fooled to submit to their self-centered diplomatic whims and caprices.
America believes this generation of Nigerians is daft as those stooges and puppets they sponsored into Nigeria’s corridors of power.
Can you imagine that America thinks we are unaware of its double-faced diplomacy with which she feigns ignorance of what is happening in Nigeria? She turns a blind eye to volatile and dangerous anti-people policies of Nigeria’s government while playing ostrich and pharisaical disposition over human rights violations.
She pretends to be policing the world but cannot see daylight rape and robbery committed against the people of Nigeria by Buhari’s government and Tinubu.
She claims to be the foremost advocator, promoter, and protector of democracy in the world but can’t discern or decipher from the illegality of a democratic process in Nigeria.
It was America that midwifed the defeat of Jonathan in favor of Buhari. With all her acclaimed superior intelligence-gathering capabilities, she could not see how APC was importing and arming foreign mercenaries from neighboring African countries to fight Jonathan should he be declared the winner of the 2015 general elections.
Today, those mercenaries have turned Nigeria into a killing field as their importers are strategically helpless and destitute or perhaps, are playing to the gallery.
Of all the killings in this plague called government, and Buhari’s anti-democratic and despotic leadership, America’s government of Joe Biden had kept sealed lips.
America is the greatest beneficiary of Nigeria’s brain drain catastrophe. She claimed to be given opportunities to people through the American lottery program. She used that program to drain our artisans and skilled labor away. And today, over forty percent of top managers of companies in America are Nigerians.
America is saturated with Nigeria’s stolen wealth in terms of investments and real estate. When our leaders steal, they go over there to buy houses and they pay huge taxes to them.
They have not come to help us fight insurgency and it took them years to sell weapons to the government to fight Boko Haram.
Now, they want to send their officials to grace the inauguration of Tinubu, which is an audacious open approval of Tinubu and APC’s rape of Nigeria’s democracy. And what level of hypocrisy is that?
Have they struck a deal to legalize same-sex marriage with Tinubu? Of course, that is their paramount interest. And of course, there is nothing Tinubu cannot do to enter Aso Rock. The desperation of Tinubu is not found among men. It can only be found among devils.
America published a list of people whom they agreed undermined the electoral process and issued a Visa ban on them, yet they can’t come out to repudiate the entire outcome of the said elections.
They identified individuals who were working for Tinubu and place a ban on them but they’re coming to celebrate their master! Or are we now to teach America the principle of Vicarious Liability? That a principal is held responsible for the acts of his agents?
Was America blind when employees of Tinubu; Fani Kayode, Onanuga, and the rest incited violence in Lagos by which they undermined the elections?
How do you punish a servant who is doing the will of his master and you come several miles away to honor his master? This is hypocrisy!
America can’t claim to be ignorant of the general displeasure, anger, and tension in Nigeria arising from the people’s stolen mandate.
We know better, ‘Big Brother America,’ you are waiting for Nigeria to explode so you can sell to us your ultrasonic and supersonic weapons and make money from the blood of Nigerians.
There is God oooh!
