THE book entitled In the Belly of Vultures written by Tola Adeniyi, former managing director of Daily Times, will be launched in Lagos, on Thursday, March 1.

The 1238-page book is a collection of Adeniyi’s more than 13,000 articles he has written since 1959.

It covers a wide range of issues on politics, economy, religion, philosophy and other socio-cultural matters troubling Nigeria.

Many prominent Nigerians are expected to grace the book launch which will take place at the NECA House, Ikeja.

It promises to be a great event as Raphael James, testified in his Facebook page that the book has been “Adjudged by book makers as “the book of the Century”

He said: “Chief Tola Adeniyi markedly stands out as a campaigner for a new political architecture in Nigeria and lends his pen in support of self-determination for the diverse ethnic nationalities federating in the country. His columns strongly advocate probity in public life and his pen brawls for resource control.

“In the Belly of Vultures archives the unending contrivance to gormandise Nigeria’s patrimony and its league of scavengers that have destroyed the country’s cherished values. It is a veritable collector’s item for communication scholars, researchers and those who want to know why Nigeria is in the throes of vampires.”
