Live Football Tickets can reveal that the cheapest opening match of the 2024/25 season is West Ham United vs Aston Villa where fans can watch their teams in action from around £71.

Following their worst-ever season last yearManchester United fans can expect the second cheapest match price with their season-opening game against Fulham costing a mere £74. This is half the price of the match between Brentford and Crystal Palace (£139), and 60% cheaper than Arsenal’s opening game against Wolves, where seats come with a price tag of approximately £187.

Offering the third cheapest ticket in the top flight are Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion, where fans are able to attend the opening game between the Toffees and the Seagulls for just £91.

On the other hand, last season’s champions, Manchester City, have the third most expensive tickets, charging fans a staggering £244 to watch their season opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. For the price of one ticket to a Manchester City game, three fans could attend Manchester United’s opening match (£74).

Bad news for die-hard Liverpool and Ipswich Town supporters: fans are expected to pay a wallet-busting £450 to see the Reds take to the field at Portman Road Stadium, facing off against the Premier League New Boys. This also marks the Tractor Boys’ long-awaited comeback after 22 years out of the top flight.

Stefan Balkenende, expert at Live Football Tickets, offered guidance on securing affordable Premier League tickets amid high demand:

“Securing tickets for Premier League matches requires savvy planning and quick action. One of the most effective strategies is to buy tickets early in the season, which boosts your chances of securing seats at face value and also allows you to choose from a wider selection before popular matches sell out. Many clubs offer early-bird discounts or exclusive access to season-ticket holders, making it advantageous to plan ahead.

However, if you’re not a season-ticket holder, it’s crucial that you stay informed about ticket release dates and utilise reputable ticket vendors to avoid disappointment. Following official club announcements and reputable sports websites ensures you’re ahead of the curve when tickets become available. Make sure to stick to trusted platforms when buying tickets to avoid inflated prices or fraudulent transactions. With some smart planning, you’ll be cheering live from the Premier League stands this season.”
