HER Excellency, Lola Ade-John, Honorable Minister for Tourism in a meeting with Hon. Fidelia Salami advocates for collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Private-sector stakeholders. She gave insights towards moving Nigerian Tourism sector beyond its present state and reiterated the implementation of Tourism policies, models and legislation.

Hon. Fidelia Salami used the occasion to present copies of her Tourism books to the Minister of Tourism. Her passion for ensuring the availability of quality content tourism books for the secondary education strata lured her into writing the Senior Secondary School 1, 2 and 3 Tourism books. The books will go a long way in raising the consciousness of tourism in the minds of Senior Secondary School Students, who are the youths of the day and leaders of tomorrow.

Her passion for tourism development and education is borne out of a potent desire to see students successfully pass through Senior Secondary School education and acquire the trade skills in tourism. She believes that Nigerian students need to understand the dynamism of how Nigeria can grow in tourism. She has contributed immensely to the growth of the tourism sector in Nigeria. Her books are not only aimed at providing skills and sensitization for education officers and teachers of what tourism is all about but also at how it contributes to lives, livelihoods, individuals, and the country as a whole.
