Tourism writers inaugurate new executives

THE Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET) has inaugurated new executives for the association, for a three-year tenure.

Mr Victor Nze, the National President of ANJET, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

According to Nze, ANJET which is affiliated to the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) recently  had its election in Abuja.

“In a keenly contested election held in Abuja, Mr Victor Nze of the Oracle Today Newspaper, emerged as the new president of the association while Mr Samson Ayuk of Naijatrip was elected  vice president.

“Nze is an experienced journalist, a former Deputy Editor at Champion Newspapers who has over 17 years experience in the tourism industry.

“Taiye Olayemi, a Senior Correspondent with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), is the Secretary, Ekene Okafor of the Voice of Nigeria (VON) is the Treasurer, while Chioma Ezike of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) is the Public Relations Officer (PRO),” he said.

In his acceptance speech, Nze promised to reposition the association and continue  to engage industry practitioners as well as regulators, to raise the association to a higher pedestal. (NAN)
