GOVERNOR Charles Soludo has completed the transformation of Ugwunwasike Ogidi/Ogbunike building materials market road, a hub for trade and commerce in Anambra State.
ln a statement by Ogechukwu Oyemesi, the Ugwunwasike Ogidi/Ogbunike, DG Solution in the Interland, the Building Materials Market is one of Nigeria’s largest building material,markets, attracting customers within Anambra State and across the country.
However, for years, bad roads plagued the market, including flooding, potholes, and heavy traffic, causing delays and hardships for traders, buyers, and residents, who spent countless hours navigating the treacherous paths, their journeys filled with frustration and delays especially as the road connects four major communities—Ogidi, Ogbunike, Abatete , Nkpor —as well as the federal highway.
Traders and residents in the area have commended Governor Soludo for recognizing the importance of the road, and prioritizing its reconstruction.
A trader, Donatus Onuoha said “today, the road has been completely transformed into a smooth and durable road network, improving traffic flow and reducing travel time significantly. Indeed, Governor Soludo is Mr. Solution and we are very impressed with his performance thus far”, he stated. He further added that flooding is no longer a concern, as the market has regained its full potential. According to the state commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, Soludo remains committed to his vision of transforming Anambra from a departure lounge to a destination of choice.
The Ugwunwasike Ogidi/Ogbunike Building Materials Market Road project highlights Governor Soludo’s commitment to improving lives and boosting the local economy, as residents and traders have lauded the Governor’s actions and vibrant leadership that is poised to deliver solutions that touch the lives of Ndi Anambra.
