TRADITIONAL rulers in Anambra State have commanded a Philanthropist, Paul Enidom, for introducing `talking books’ in Anambra State primary schools to enhance teaching and learning.

Chairman of Anambra Traditional Ruler’s Council, Nn’emeka Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, said this during the traditional ruler’s council meeting at Government House, Awka.

Achebe, who was represented by the traditional ruler of Okpuno, Sunday Okafor, noted that talking books would go a long way in improving accuracy, speed in reading and expand vocabulary and fluency among the students.

He said that traditional rulers would support as well as get their subjects and well meaning individuals to key into the programme, so as to give education its pride of place in the state.

In his remarks, Enidom expressed satisfaction at the support and encouragement he received from the traditional rulers.

“I came to unveil the Talking Books and Model Pen because of my desire to impact positively in education in the state. The passion and desire was from my mother, Martina Chinyere Enidom,’’ he said.

He said that the talking books would help the pupils at the primary school level to pay more attention and comprehend easily.
