REP. Ahmad Kalambaina (APC-Sokoto), has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering greater benefits of democracy to his constituents.

Kalambaina, who represents Kware and Wamakko Federal Constituency spoke in response to his victory at the election petition tribunal held in Sokoto on Monday.

He said that the judgment marked a significant triumph for democracy and the people of his constituency.

The three-member tribunal panel, led by Justice Denis Echesi, affirmed Kalambaina as the duly elected representative for the constituency.

The tribunal dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which had challenged the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate.

The tribunal ruled that the petitioner failed to substantiate its case beyond a reasonable doubt and imposed a penalty of N500,000 on them.

The lawmaker pledged to continue delivering democracy dividends to the doorsteps of his constituents to drive substantial development in the constituency.

He appealed for increased support from his constituents to optimise the development of the constituency and the state.

“Today’s judgment will further fuel my commitment to delivering the best legislation for the people of my constituency.

“I will persist in my efforts to empower the youth and women, a program I have been championing for years,” he affirmed.

Kalambaina expressed his gratitude to Sen. Aliyu Wamakko, the APC leader in the state, for his guidance and paternal advice, which have propelled him to greater heights.

He also commended Gov. Ahmed Aliyu’s dedication to Sokoto State’s brighter future and thanked his constituents for their unwavering support and prayers for his success. (NAN)
