Ukodhiko congratulates Simeon Efenudu at 80

MEMBER representing Isoko Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has congratulated foremost elder-statesman and former Secretary to Delta State Government, Sir Simeon Efenudu, on his 80th birth anniversary.
Ukodhiko in his congratulatory message issued on Sunday by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Ajiri-Oghene Oreh, lauded Efenudu’s contribution to the development of Isoko-nation and Delta State in general.
The Isoko federal lawmaker stated that, “the story of Delta’s evolution would not be complete without recurring references to Efenudu, whose life has been dedicated solely to service, nation building, and humanity. He is one of those who we can rightly regard as one of Isoko’s national treasures.
“Looking at our octogenarian leader’s records of public service as both a civil and public servant, they bespeak a rich profile which reflect his immense contributions to Delta State evolution, and the advancement of Isokonation, and his Otor-Owhe community.
“From being a Super State Permanent Secretary to Head of Delta’s Civil Service, Sir Simeon Efenudu peaked his distinguished and meritorious career of public service as a Secretary to the State Government, the first Isoko man to attain such lofty position.” Hon. Ukodhiko stated.
The lawmaker wrote, “On behalf of my family and the people of Isoko North/South Federal Constituency, I congratulate a distinguished Deltan and a thoroughbred mandarin, Sir (Barr.) Simeon Ozajemuta Efenudu, first Isoko man to attain the position of Head of Delta State Civil Service, on his 80th birthday.
“Sir, your reaching the pinnacle of service as Head of Delta State Civil Service, and as well as the Secretary to the State Government are eloquent testimonies of your grit, brilliance, diligence, dedication, and meticulousness.
“Even out of the State Civil Service, you have continued to be of service to Delta State as a member of the State Advisory and Peace-Building Council, to our great party, the PDP, chairing the Isoko North Local Government Areas Elders’ Council.
“We appreciate your leadership and recognized your commitment to the growth and development of Isoko ethnic nationality and our State, Delta, even as we will continue to seek your guidance, counsel as an elder statesman of enormous wealth of experience and wisdom.
Hon. Ukodhiko who is the Deputy Chairman, Housa Committee on Science and Technology prayed to God to continuously strengthened and endowed the octogenarian, Sir Simeon Efenudu with more years in good health and wisdom.
