THE opening ceremony of the UN Bonn Climate Change Conference was temporarily halted when two pro-Palestinian demonstrators disrupted proceedings to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The activists raised a Palestinian flag and a banner reading “No BAU (business as usual) during a genocide” during the speech by Simon Steele, director of the UN Climate Convention.
