UNICEF introduces new prize for Photojournalists

THE United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, Nigeria has introduced a new award category to the annual Diamond Awards for Media Excellence, DAME.

According to UNICEF, the winner will receive a laptop, cash prize, a DAME plaque, and a certificate of merit at the 33rd edition of DAME, billed for the last quarter of the year. 

The award will focus on Nigerian photographers and photojournalists, whose works were published in 2023 and will reward impactful photography on children’s health and nutrition.
