Unilorin don becomes Iwo FCE provost

A Professor of Islamic Studies and Deputy Chief Imam of the University of Ilorin, Rafiu Adebayo, has been appointed Provost of the newly established Federal College of Education, Iwo, in Osun.

The University of Ilorin (Unilorin) Bulletin said that the appointment of Adebayo was announced in a statement signed on behalf of the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.

According to the bulletin, Alhaji Liadi Tella, former Lecturer, Department of Mass Communication and Senior Research Fellow, Unilorin, has also been appointed Chairman Governing Council of FCE, Iwo.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Federal Government recently approved the establishment of six Federal Colleges of Education with immediate take-off in the six geo-political zones in the country.
