A 500 Level student of the Department of Combined Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin (Unilorin), Mr Dauda Gidado, has won a Mwape Peer Diplomatic Excellence Award at New Jersey, United States of America.

The Unilorin Bulletin issued on Monday stated that a letter conveying the award was signed by Mr James Mwape, the Executive Director, Mwape Peer Awards, Inc.

It quoted the letter as saying that the Diplomatic Excellence Award was in recognition of Gidado’s work in ending global education crisis.

The publication stated that the new honour made it 14 in total that Gidado had won in his career.

Others are the ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, 2022; Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity by ECOWAS Youth Council, 2022.

Gidado had also won the Social Personality of the Year 2022 by LAWSAN North Central and the Senior Activist of Human Rights Chambers (SAHRC) 2022, among other awards. (NAN)
