United States Senate confirms Nathan as CEO U.S. DFC

THE US Senate has confirmed the appointment of Scott A. Nathan as the CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, DFC.

This was contained in a press statement released by DFC Acting CEO Dev Jagadesan.

In the statement, Jagadesan noted thatScott’s unwavering commitment to promoting America’s interests abroad will strengthen DFC’s work leveraging the private sector in the developing world to improve livelihoods and address global challenges like climate change, pandemic threats, and persistent economic disparities,” adding that his leadership will advance President Biden’s B3W initiative.

Earlier this year, on January 25, President Biden had named the Indian-American Dev-Jagadesan as the acting head of DFC.

You may wish to know that Jagadesan is a BA holder from The Catholic University of America and a JD from the Columbus School of Law. He was the Deputy General Counsel for the DFC.

Experienced in both private and public sector, he has nearly 20 years of private investment work as a partner, management committee member, and the Chief Risk Officer in a private partnership fund, as well as his many years of public service in the Obama-Biden Administration’s State Department and Office of Management and Budget and the Biden-Harris Transition team and White House Office of Presidential Personnel.
