EVERY All Progressives Congress, APC spokesperson, whether officially or unofficially acclaimed, has always spoken/tweeted/written as if abusive and derogatory words are going out of fashion. From that moment their principal so unbelievably declared, _ “those in Labour Party will labour to their deaths”_ every of his follower evidently took the cue that it was a free-for-all season of sanguinary engagement.

The Oshiomholes, MC Oluomos, FFKs, Keyamos, Onanugas, Omatseyes …you name them … spoke and still speak in languages their children will do everything to dissociate with when this whole prolonged madness is over.

Even a personality as globally respected as Professor Wole Soyinka was so astonishingly infected with this use of language malaise that he lost restraint in application and flagrantly allowed the word, fascist to escape his mandibles. What Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot destroy…! May God restore the oracle in the great Nobel Laureate, that oracle which guided him to pen that eternal masterpiece, The Man Died.

The irony of it all is that the members of same camp are quick to point accusing fingers at OBIdients as being aggressive and violent or _’vawulence’_ in language application. How hypocritical!

Check every public language that HE Peter Obi has ever made from his days as governor to present day that is ever devoid of decorum even at the height of extreme provocation. So if Obi did not and does not incite _’vawulence’_ from the opposing camps, why blame his supporters responding to a camp whose own leader said all kinds of unprintable things against, including wishing death to everyone of them? Perhaps most of these BATists did not deeply understand the meaning of *_”labouring to death”_*! Or actually did but enjoyed every bit of it. Would one wish his neighbour death to his face and expect him to bow Amen and go to bed?

However, about five days ago, HE Babatunde Raji Fashola appeared on Channels Television and showed a reasonable degree of common sense. No outward arrogance, no characteristic boastfulness of the gang. Unlike Oshiomhole out of the band of unofficial spokespersons, Fashola showed he once held an executive position that went with real elements of enormous responsibility. Unlike Keyamo among the official spokespersons, Fashola respected the people, whose revenue from taxes are being used to sustain his remunerations as a serving federal minister.

The former Lagos State governor employed admirable decorum. One could link his delivery to HE Yemi Osinbajo’s and almost conclude that being lawyers has a way of self- application if FFK and Keyamo were not involved.

As the Director of Strategies and one in charge of the APC Situation Room during the very contentious election, the Works and Housing Minister unwittingly revealed plenty that further investigations by POEM revealed why and how the election was rigged.

All linked with his explanations of professional approach to the presidential election. Credit where due, they prepared admirably via constant polling, profiling of their strengths and weaknesses, making firm use of comparative advantages. He even acknowledged that they underrated the LP and the OBIdient Movement.

But Fashola’s spoken words led to the unspoken. In the next POEM Editorial, we deepen further. Fasten your seatbelts.***POEM stands for PO Express  Media
