GOV. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, on Monday, inaugurated a 3.2- kilometre road in Hong Local Government Area, as part of his administration’s urban renewal campaign to attract investors.
Speaking at the occasion, Fintiri said that the urban renewal campaign had become a reality.
“The project we are about to inaugurate is the 3.2km urban road, with fitting drainage. It is a stretch from European Quarters, Ploti, Anguwan Huasawa, Wuro Dole to Waja wards in Hong town.
“It is part of our carefully crafted policy which aims to raise the standard of our state capital to attract investors to the state and equally improve the infrastructural status of our semi-urban centres,’’ he said.
According to him, the intention is to link the rural areas to the semi-urban centres for easy access and cross-pollination of economic and social activities.
In his remarks, the Minister of FCT, Malam Muhammad Bello, commended the Fintiri-led administration for the rapid infrastructural development in the state.
He also congratulated the benefiting communities for having a leader who had them in his heart, with a lot of development projects.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fintiri had earlier inaugurated Numan and Michika township roads as well as Toungo electrification project, Zumo Street and Doctors’ Quarters Road in Yola-South. (NAN)
