VIETNAM should create favorable conditions for laborers working abroad to return home and invest in production and business, Nguyen Ba Hoan Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said.
The minister said the number of the workers has been growing steadily.
He added that between 2013 to 2021, Vietnam sent nearly one million workers abroad.
According to him, the workforce could become a good resource for the domestic economy and social development after they return home.
Migrant workers returning home should be supported with welfare, Katherine Loh, an international labor expert.
Their experience and knowledge gained during the working abroad process are very valuable.
The expert said they would significantly contribute to the economy and social development if supported. (Xinhua/NAN)
