THE Jos Water Services Corporation (JWSC) in Plateau has commenced customer enumeration to boost water supply in Jos and Bukuru metropolis.

The acting Managing Director, Mrs Stella Buge, stated this in a statement signed by the corporation’s Publicity and Protocol Manager, Mr Nangor Ndam, in Jos on Wednesday.

Buge said that the exercise, which commenced on Oct. 10 in Bukuru in Jos South Local Government Area would end on Dec. 20.

She said that the goal was to collate critical data that would help in improving water supply in the metropolis.

This, she said, would be done through the rehabilitation of water treatment plants and booster stations.

“The exercise will lead to the extension of new water lines to areas without water and as well as the replacement of old and damaged pipes,” she said.

The managing director said that the enumerators would be visiting households, offices, business premises, industries, hotels, and schools among others for the exercise.

She appealed to residents of Jos and Bukuru to cooperate with the enumerators and provide them with useful information.

She also urged councils’ chairmen, traditional, religious and community leaders to mobilise community members to ensure the success of the exercise. (NAN)
