The NMA team were at the House for  medical outreach specially organised for the  State’s legislature as part of the activities line up for the ongoing 2023 Osun Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference.

While commending the team for counting lawmakers worthy for the gesture, Rt. Hon. Egbedun lauded the leadership of Osun NMA for not joining the strike action embarked upon across the country and for their commitment towards improving the healthcare delivery in the State.

In his words, he said “Your noble profession is doing well for the people of the State in terms of quality health delivery, most especially for not joining the nationwide strike which is in appreciation of the gesture of Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke led administration. I must also appreciate you for this outreach specially designed for the Honourable members of this assembly”

He proceeded to assure that “Osun 8th Assembly will always support you because Heath is wealthy and we want the people of Osun to enjoy quality healthcare.”

He then advised them to put their request on paper and forward it to him with a promise that he will help them present it to the listening and performing Governor.

In his own remark, the Chairman of NMA in Osun State, Adetoye Adedapo, applauded the Executive Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his support to doctors in the state, which he said, is one of the reasons why Osun NMA is not joining the ongoing nationwide strike.

He further appreciates the leadership of the 8th Assembly for honouring their request to be part of their annual programme for this year and later sought the support of the lawmakers for effective health delivery to all and sundry in the state and to cushion the adverse effect of the “Japa Syndrome”
