When reaching for a cold beer, you may have to realize that the consumption of any type of alcohol – wine, whisky, beer in large volume can damage the heart and lead to other clinical complications.
Increased consumption of beer is bad to your health, it has no health benefits and increases the risk of liver cancer, cirrhosis, obesity. Heavy drinkers may increase the risk of stroke, chronic hypertension, gaining weight and breast cancer.
However, drinking can be healthy if taken in moderation as the contents include grains, hops, yeast, B vitamins, carbohydrates and potassium.
“The strongest evidence suggests alcohol of any kind can increase good cholesterol,” says Eric Rimm, a Harvard researcher.
Moderate consumption of beer or any form of alcohol may provide benefits health-wise, reducing your risk of developing and dying from heart disease, (possibly reducing the risk of ischemic stroke when the arteries to your brain become narrowed or blocked causing severely reduced blood flow) thereby reducing your risk of diabetes.
Limiting yourself to no more than one drink per day for women, two drinks per day for men.
Beer is likely safe for most people when consumed in moderation. This translates to taking at least two bottles or less a day, but drinking more than this is unsafe.
Drinking a higher amount can result in such issues as controlling emotions, blackout, loss of coordination, seizures, breathing issues irregular heartbeat and others.
Long-term use can also lead to alcohol dependence and can cause many serious side effects, including malnutrition, memory loss, mental problems, heart problems, liver failure, swelling (inflammation) of the pancreas, cancers of the digestive tract, and others. medical researchers-webMD
Asthma: There have been occasional reports of asthma being triggered by drinking beer.
Heart conditions: While there is some evidence that drinking beer in moderation might help to prevent congestive heart failure, beer is harmful when used by someone who already has this condition. Drinking alcohol can make chest pain and congestive heart failure worse.
Drinking alcohol can worsen the case of high levels of fats called triglycerides in the blood (hypertriglyceridemia), while drinking three or more bottles of alcohol per day can make mental problems worse and affect thinking skills.
