GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has relieved all his special advisers of their appointments.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, special assistant to the governor on Electronic Media, however, said that Winston Iwo, a bishop and special adviser on Religious Affairs, would retain his post.
Wike had recently sacked all the members of the State Executive Council.
The sack of all the commissioners came 48 hours after he sacked Bathuel Harrison, his commissioner for Works.
Also, sacking of Harrison came less than 24 hours after Austin Tan-George, his commissioner for Information and Communication, had resigned his appointment over alleged “high handedness by the governor.”
