Woman, 29, docked for allegedly assaulting man

THE police in Osun on Friday docked one Blessing Ibian, 29, before an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for alleged assault on a man.
The prosecutor, Insp Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 14, 2022, about 7:30 a.m. at Ojaja Area of Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi said that the defendant conspired with others at large to commit the assault occasioning harm against one Mr Ajagbe Fayemi by pushing him down and dragging him on the floor.
According to him, the defendant caused an injury on Fayemi’s left hand and right leg during the assault.
Osanyintuyi said that the offences contravened Sections 252, 351, 355 and 561 of the Criminal Code of Osun, 2002.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge.
The Magistrate, Mr O. T. Badmus granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Badmus added that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means and reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
He adjourned the case until July 8, for hearing. (NAN)
