The Police on Friday arraigned one Ifeoma Ezeoke in a Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for alleged assault and intimidation of a motorist for parking her car in a supposedly wrong place.
The defendant, who resides behind Daughters of Charity Hospital, Kubwa, Abuja, is facing charges of criminal force, assault and intimidation.
The prosecutor, John Okpa, told the court that Ezeoke grabbed one Ayebatundara Imgbi by the collar of her shirt and threatened to deal with her on April 4.
He said the defendant threatened Imgbi and ordered her to remove her car from where it was parked.
Okpa further said the defendant poured salt and dirts on Imgbi’s car thereby putting her in a state of fear of death or body injury.
He said the offences contravened Sections 267 and 397 of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The judge, Malam Abdulwahab Mohammed, granted the defendant N200, 000 bail with a reliable surety who must resident within the court’s jurisdiction and adjourned the matter until Aug. 24 for hearing. (NAN).
