WOMEN Arise for Change Initiative has condemned and decried with great disdain barbaric, insensate and despicable brutalization, maltreatment and humiliation of elderly and vulnerable woman by her daughter Nkiruka Udugbo of Umudunu Abagana in Njikoka LG.
The action of the woman is satanic, devilish, inhuman and unconscionable.
This is contained in a press statement issued to newsmen tagged “when one suffers directly all of us suffers indirectly” endorsed by Evangelist Vincent Ezekwueme, Chairman and Pastor Chinyere Amah, Secretary respectively lamented that a senior citizen expected to enjoy the fruits of her labour was subjected to such unprecedented assault, agony, sufferings and excruciating pains by her own daughter, who is supposed to take proper care of her.
“We commend those who draw public attention of the plights of the elderly woman as such impunity and absurdity takes place in some parts of the state unreported and unnoticed.
Information at our disposal indicates that the inhuman woman has been maltreating the woman. One pertinent question begging for answer is where his husband, children and neighbors when she maltreated her mother or is it conspiracy of silence.
According to Rev.Martin Luther King Jr “Evil triumph not because of those who do it, because good people sit back and do nothing”.
This is an anathema and hallmark of man’s inhumanity against man.
Nkiruka Udugbo should be subjected to a psychiatric hospital to ascertain the state of her mind as animal can’t maltreat its mother.
“We commend the Abagana community, Transition Committee Chairman Njikoka LG, Abagana Vigilante, Nigeria Police Force and the Anambra State government for living up to expectations for arresting, detaining and will eventually prosecute the woman after thorough investigation.
“We appeal to Gov. Charles Soludo to constitute Investigative Panel to unravel the circumstances surrounding the evil perpetrated against the elderly woman by her daughter. The woman should be suspended or removed from her leadership position in church to act as deterrent to others and to protect the integrity and image of the church,” the CLO posited.
