THE Speaker, Imo House of Assembly, Mr Kennedy Ibeh, has charged civil servants in the state to enhance their productivity and ensure efficient service delivery.
The charge is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Owerri to comemmorate this year’s Workers’ Day celebration.
According to him, workers should raise the bar of collective efforts and by so doing contribute to the growth of the state’s economy.
“I want to commend Imo workers for their doggedness, hard work and diligence in moving the state forward.
”I also commend the parliamentary staff of the assembly for their diligence to duty.
“I’m not surprise at their display of high sense of commitment to work.
“Imo people and indeed Nigerians are known for their faith in the dignity of labour and hard work.
“You must keep the spirit very high, improve productivity and service delivery to boost the state’s economy.
“This can only come through raising the bar of collective and individual effort,” he added.
The speaker also advised the workers to show total support to Gov. Hope Uzodimma’s administration in its efforts to transform the state. (NAN)
