Yahuza becomes 4th Pro-Chancellor of FUOYE

THE Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Yahuza as the fourth Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the university by the Federal Government.

The university’s Deputy Director, Corporate Services, Mr. Adeyinka Ademuyiwa, made this known in a statement in Oye-Ekiti.

Ademuyiwa said that Yahuza was appointed with four others on July 13 at the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abuja, by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.

Yahuza, a Veterinary Scientist from Yobe, is a retired Director of Administration at the Federal Ministry of Health.

According to Ademuyiwa, the new council chairman will be supported by Alhaji Ali Kolo, Sabo Inuwa, Prof. Ibrahim Buba, and Mr. Femi Okeowo, in overseeing the affairs of the institution.

He said that the university management was delighted with the appointment and looking forward to working with the governing council members, to enhance the growth of the institution.

Ademuyiwa also assured the council chairman of the cooperation of members of staff to take the university to enviable heights. (NAN)
