Yoon orders humanitarian aid for quake-hit Iran, Tùrkiye

SOUTH Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol said the government would provide humanitarian assistance to Iran and Tùrkiye hit hard by recent earthquakes.
Yoon on Monday instructed the National Security Office and foreign affairs ministry to come up with strong measures for assistance to Tùrkiye.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck central Tùrkiye early Monday, killing at least 912 people and injuring more than 5,000, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Iran was hit by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake late January which killed at least three people and injured more than 800. (Yonhap/NAN)
