Youth leader supports community with cement, cash

AMB. Isaac Kigbu, the President, Eggon Youth Movement (EYM) Worldwide, has donated 50 bags of cement and N200,000 cash to Wakama Youth Movement for the building of its national secretariat.
Kigbu made the donation in Wakama on Sunday during Wakama Youth Day and N50 million fundraising for the building of its national secretariat.
He however advised the youths to embrace peaceful coexistence, economic self reliance and community development efforts to uplift their lives.
The EYM president assured of his continuous readiness to support the youths to succeed at all times.
“I have built mosque and church, community halls as well paid WAEC, NECO and school fees for many students.
“I have also donated wrappers, food items, assisted widows, orphans and other less privileged ones in order to improve on their standard of living.
“By God’s grace, I will continue to do more towards improving on the lives of Eggon youths, Eggon people and other Nigerians,” he said.
Besides, Kigbu pledged his readiness to continue to key into good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of Nigerians.
On their part, Mr Labaran Maku, a former Minister of Information; Mr Daniel Anyuabaga, former EYM President; Mr Sam Anzaku, Grand Patron of Wakama Youth Movement; and Chief Adams Nangba, the District Head of Wakama, lauded the youths for organising the programme.
They urged members of the association and other youths to be law abiding, embrace peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
Earlier, Mr Bala Ewuga, the President, Wakama Youth Movement, said that the event was organised in order to promote peace and unity among members of the association and other neighbours.
He appealed to the people to donate generously to enable them build the association’s secretariat, considering its importance to service delivery.
The president prayed and wished dignataries and other well wishers safe journey to their respective destinations.
The News Agency of Nigeria( NAN) reports that the event had in attendance politicians,traditional and religious leaders,youth and women groups among other well wishers. (NAN)
