A 29-year-old Businessman, Daniel Elisha, on Friday, encouraged youths in the country to try online business to earn a living.

He made the call in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Elisha, who had a National Diploma and a resident of Sabon Tasha, Kaduna, said that he started an online business two years ago with freelancing on Fiverr, an online market place, before venturing fully into digital marketing.

Fiverr is an online marketplace for freelance services. Founded in 2010, the company is based in Tel Aviv, and provides a platform for freelancers to offer services to customers worldwide.

He said “I make an average of N400,000 monthly from online sale of information and services also known as Digital Marketing.

“I didn’t just start making money like that, I read a lot of e-books and videos belonging to online gurus before mastering the business.”

The young entrepreneur added that he had so far trained more than 100 youths since 2016 and had been enjoying freedom as his own boss “because I do my work at my time and pace.”

He explained that there were lots of opportunities in online business yet to be tapped and urged youths to explore the opportunities and learn a digital skill to be self- reliant.

“I urge youths to seek knowledge and not expect everything for free; a lot of people think everything online is a scam, which is not true but the truth is that the beginning is not always easy,” he stressed.

He added that he would want to build his own empire by creating a platform where Nigerian youths would be enlightened on how they could make money online. (NAN)
