UKRAINIAN President Volodymyr Zelensky said 207 Ukrainian captives returned from Russia.

“Our people are back. 207 of them. We return them home no matter what,” Zelensky wrote in a post on Telegram.

Zelensky thanked the chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, the President’s Office head, Andriy Yermak, and other officials, for the efforts to free captured Ukrainians.

Meanwhile, Yermak said on Telegram that the released soldiers served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the National Police.

The Kyiv Post had reported that Wednesday’s prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia was the 50th since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The report likewise indicated that the returned servicemen are 95 representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 56 National Guardsmen, 26 border guards, 29 soldiers of the Territorial Defense and one representative of the National Police of Ukraine. (Xinhua/NAN)
