2023: Oyelude is a rabble-rouser, seeking attention– Adeleke aide
Politics
THE Personal Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Political Matters, Otunba Tunde Badmus, has dismissed the position of Oyelude Oladele on the Governor’s support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election as the rant of a deranged mind begging for attention.
Otunba Tunde who flayed Oyelude for attempting to impose his disjointed view on Governor Adeleke, said the self-styled Director-General of Tinubu-Shettima Ambassador fouled logic and good reasoning in the conjecture disguised as an advice by Oyelude.
He reminded Oyelude of the rights of Governor Adeleke to democratic choice just as every other Nigerians, noting that no attempt to blackmail the Governor into abandoning his party’s candidate will prevail.
“It is laughable, if not absurdity, for anyone to accuse Governor Adeleke of betrayal as one Oyelude Oladele attempted to do in his farce of a statement on the Governor’s support for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,” the statement noted.
“Looking at Oyelude, especially his reference to a so-called ‘Asaba Accord’, showed he’s confused, because Governor Adeleke was never part of the meeting. So, how do you breach an agreement you were never part of?
“If Oyelude is sincere to himself, he should know that you cannot hold a man to something he didn’t commit to. Governor Adeleke is elected as Osun Governor on the platform of PDP, and it is natural that he will support his party, not only in the presidential election, but other election.”
Otunba Tunde who observed the subtle threat of Oyelude on the ongoing Governorship legal tussle, said Osun people are well aware of the plot of the APC to hijack the mandate freely given to Governor Adeleke using the judiciary.
“Osun people know already the coordinated plot of the APC to use the Judiciary to hijack the mandate given to Governor Adeleke at the poll on July 16. Oyelude only helped amplified what the people already know, which partly manifested through the injustice served by Justice Kume at the Tribunal,” he added.
“What I know for certain is that, the people might is bigger than other might and Osun people will fiercely resist attempt to impose a Governor on them like it was done in 2018. Oyelude and his co-travelers can continue to dangle the threat of stealing Governor Adeleke but they should know that nothing will make the Governor compromise his integrity, which is what endears him to people in Osun and beyond.”
