2nd tenure: We’ll keep Sanwo-Olu on his toes — Accord Party

THE Accord Party in Lagos State on Tuesday felicitated Gov. Sanwo-Olu on his inauguration for a second tenure to govern the state.

The Lagos State Chairman of the party, Mr Dele Oladeji, who congratulated Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat on the feat in a statement in Lagos, however said that the party would keep the governor and his lieutenants on their toes.

Oladeji urged Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat to walk their talks on the promised “New Rising Lagos State.”

“The massive votes for the governor is a testimony and commendation of the last four years governance of the duo, as well as a certification that he stood shoulder high above every other candidates in the contest for the Lagos state governorship seat.

“As Lagos residents, we pledge to always stand by and give all necessary support for the success of the people’s governor.

“As as an opposition party, we will always keep Mr governor, his deputy and other state government and local government functionaries on their toes,” he said.

The chairman said that the step had become imperative to enhance best governance, people-centered socio-economic policies, welfare and wellbeing as we as the prosperity of Lagos residents.

“We admonish Mr governor to work assiduously towards increasing the average family wealth ratings of every Lagos resident.

” He must as well promote policies that will expand, grow amd strengthen the micro-economic indices in Lagos State, with a focus on micro trade , commerce and cottage industries.

“For a greater Lagos State, we will always stand,” Oladeji said.

NAN reports that Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat were on Monday sworn-in for second term at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.(NAN)
