Adetunji Idowu Olurin, retired brigadier-general and former sole administrator of Ekiti State, 71, December 3. Born in Ilaro, Ogun State, he was educated at Christ Church School, Odo Ona, Ibadan, 1955-1957; Local Government Authority Modern School, 1958; Egbado College and The Polytechnic, Ibadan, 1966; Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna, 1967-1970; School of Infantry, Quetta, Pakistan, 1973; Army Command and Staff College, Jaji, 1977-1978, and National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, near Jos, 1987.  Olurin was appointed military governor, Oyo State, 1985-1988 and director of logistics, Nigeria Army headquarters, Lagos, 1988-1989.
